We believe that products cannot truly be considered JAPAN FORGED if the club is not wholly manufactured in Japan, including the forging process. Secondly, we believe that quality products should be the club of choice for many top amateurs and pros to be used competitively.
I mention this because from 2-3 years ago, most Major Japanese Golf makers have began to produce products that are actually forged in China or India, but call it “Made in Japan” simply because they are finished in Japan.
We are confident to say that George Spirits is the leading golf club maker that truly accomplishes both of these tasks.

I apologize for the topics constantly being about shafts, but I am always surprised by the fact that over 80% of golfers use stock shafts preshafted by the golf manufactures. It is obvious that professionals who demand full power and control cannot afford to use stock shafts. It is known fact that stock shafts are manufactured with primarily cost in mind and are made with very poor quality. They may have fancy names like Fujikura or Mitsubishi, but the stock shaft is not the quality a true golfer should demand. Please, do your golf game a favor and try to magic of the aftermarket shaft!

ORANGE Shafts
Posted on April 5th, 2010 at 12:00 AM by admin

Yesterday, I talked about Tiger’s new shaft, the GDI Tour-AD DI. I think this year’s wood shaft trend lies in the Orange color. George Spirits currently utilizes the GDI GDI Tour-AD DI and UST MAMIYA ATTAS, which are both a orange/white combination. How trendy we are!

Finally, Tiger has appeared on the AUGUSTA! He looks like he added a little weight, but other than that he looks like he is coming back strong to fight for the title.I am most interested about his shaft choice for his driver, the Graphite Design TourAD DI. This is an extremely popular shaft among pros in Japan and seems to have gained popularity on the worldwide tour this year as the number 1 shaft, although it is still not as common within the US. However, George Spirits had committed to spread this revolutionary shaft with our products, so we were happy to see Tiger choose this one!

I visited the Jeong Park, club fitter and lesson pro of the Old Ranch C. C. practice center.
I was very surprised by the beautiful public driving range of this private country club. It was a weekday morning, I was amazed to see a particular female math professor hit hard shots with the GS-1W Tour-AD EV6(s) with very hard driver specs that are often used by males. She really goes to show that golf is not a game of power, but of the strength one can produce at the moment of impact. Amazing.

LPGA ProAm Day
Posted on March 31st, 2010 at 12:00 AM by admin
Today was the ProAm as was yesterday and the practice area was filled with players who finished their ProAm Round. Looking at the large crowd, I feel that it is not only because this the first major event this year, but I have also seen a great increase in the number of serious amateur golfers this year.
Best of luck to all players in the tournament (especially the George Spirits users!!!)

Hot, Hot, Hot
Posted on March 30th, 2010 at 12:00 AM by admin
It’s too hot! With little wind and under the California sun, it is too darn hot! It may be less of a problem for Japanese players due to the even hotter and humid weather they have over there, but for us it was too hot and and we constantly found ourselves seeking refuge under palm trees near the putting green. Esteemed golfer Ai Chan(Ai Miyazato) approached our GS Demo Bag and there was much media following her so I am sure our bag is in frame if that particular event airs on tv!

As i did last week, I once again attended the LPGA as a supporter. As one would expect,  the driving range on Monday morning was as packed as can get. I was able to provide adjustment and corrections to the putters and wedges that I provided to the players. In general, most players desired inserts for the putters and the lighter shafts of Nippon Shaft (NS-Pro) for the wedges. Most the players that I provided products with were Asian players so I think we saw some kind of consistency of adjustment due to that. In any case we are very pleased to receive so much praise about the feeling and spin rate of our GT-SW Pro.

Tiger
Posted on March 28th, 2010 at 12:00 AM by admin
Before his whole scandal I have always had a problem with Tiger Woods.
He is too damn good. Simply not fair for fans of competing golfers. As I have seen, for this generation of golfers,  Tiger is always the measure for proficiency and has truly put the game of golf on the map globally.
As one of the true geniuses our generation has seen, it surely is good to have him back.

The effect of the wind on one’s golf is significant as well as its effect of ball direction is even more problematic at times.
